Arts and culture at YHC
The division of fine arts at 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ offers an exciting lineup of world-class performances, events, and exhibitions presented by the Campus Gate Art Gallery, Theatre 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and the Department of Music.
Campus Gate Art Gallery
The gallery hosts a wide variety of exhibitions ranging from contemporary mixed media installations to traditional arts and crafts. Typically, each exhibition has a free opening reception where guests from the campus and community can meet and mingle with the exhibiting artist and discuss the artwork.
The Campus Gate Art Gallery is located at 5149 College Street on the 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ campus.
Theatre 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ
Each season, YHC’s theatre company presents a full lineup of notable productions. These range from full-length musicals and innovative dramas to classic plays and children’s shows.
The Mainstage Season features four marquee-style musicals and plays directed and designed by faculty, professional artists, or advanced upperclassmen.
The Second Season includes exciting events such as musical revues and cabarets, staged readings, one-act plays, and special performances.
The Studio Series features productions showcasing student direction, providing an invaluable educational experience that focuses on the fundamentals of the production process.
Around campus
Zell & Shirley Miller Library
Located in the Rollins Campus Center, the library contains 45,000 print volumes, access more than 120 databases including journals, magazines, newspapers, and legal documents, and more than 250,000 e-books.
Visit the bookstore online or in the bottom level of Sharp Hall to pick up textbooks or purchase school supplies, drinks, snacks, and YHC merchandise.
Rollins Planetarium and Observatory
With comfortable seating for 104 under a 40-foot-diameter dome, Rollins Planetarium offers public shows and educational opportunities for school groups throughout the year. Rollins Planetarium is located in the Maxwell Center on the campus of 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ.
Recreation and Fitness Center
Our state-of-the-art Recreation and Fitness Center boasts more than 59,000 square feet of action-packed space. The two-level, LEED-certified facility features a first-class, fully equipped weight room and fitness center, an elevated indoor jogging track and an 1,100-purple-seat arena
